Thank You Lord - December 31, 2009

Another year has passed. In the midst of all the fireworks, food and drinks, I would like to thank the Lord for letting me enjoy life's simple pleasures. Thank You Lord for a wonderful 2009. May 2010 be a year of renewal, conversion, repentance and continued blessings and graces for all of us!

1. Thank You Lord for letting my phone work today. I cannot use my cellphone a few days ago.
2. Thank You Lord for the gravy, mashed potatoes and leche flan which were surprisingly good. (It was our first time to make those.)
3. Thank You Lord for the relatively moderate workload today. My supervisor even allowed me to welcome the New Year with the family.
4. Thank You Lord for the food stuff and other items I got from Cavite.
5. Thank You Lord for letting my PC work steadily today.
6. Thank You Lord for Head and Shoulders.
7. Thank You Lord for all the hugs and kisses I got from my kids today.
8. Thank You Lord for all the miracles that You perform yet sometimes they go unnoticed or unrecognized.
9. Thank You Lord for the Saints and the Angels.
10. Thank You Lord for not giving up on us.

Thank You Lord - December 30, 2009

As we draw towards the end of the year, I think 2009 is still a good year for me. Lots of things to be thankful for.

1. Thank You Lord for giving me this year a wonderful and lovely son, may he grow to live a life that is pleasing to You.
   
2. Thank You Lord for sustaining my family during my times of unemployment this year.
3. Thank You Lord for my friends at 4Marks who have been so helpful and inspirational to me.
4. Thank You Lord for sending "help" in many creative forms during difficult times.
5. Thank You Lord for keeping us healthy and safe.
6. Thank You Lord for a hearty lunch of Chopsuey, Pancit Canton and Grilled Boneless Milkfish (plus a nightcap of Swissmiss and of course, Chips Ahoy!)
7. Thank You Lord for the Roast Beef idea for New's Year Eve.
8. Thank You Lord for the Lakers win versus Golden State Warriors.
9. Thank You Lord for helping me with my novenas today.
10. Thank You Lord for letting me feel the love of my family, I hope I can lead them all to You.

10 Things To Be Thankful For

Recently, I got the inspiration somewhere to list down 10 things that I want thank God specifically for all the blessings of the day. I guess just having a grateful attitude is already a blessing in itself because even when things go wrong, you would still be able to find hope that God will see you through and thank Him for the opportunity to express your faith, patience and gratefulness. I hope that I will be able to continue doing this list as long I am able to. At the end of my life, what I really want to do, is thank God personally when I see Him in Heaven. So here goes...

1. Thank You Lord for letting me write this list. Thank You Lord for letting me have faith in You, drawing me near You. Thank You for sending Jesus to save us, Mama Mary to help us and the Holy Spirit to guide us.
2. Thank You Lord for my wife and my kids who give me so much joy and happiness.
3. Thank You Lord for my mom and dad and my brothers, they inspire me.
4. Thank You Lord for sending us good househelp.
5. Thank You Lord for sustaining us all these times especially since we are in a financial situation right now.
6. Thank You Lord for letting this 6- or 7-year-old PC help us in our livelihood.
7. Thank You Lord for the fruit juices, lettuce and the headphone that I was able to buy today.
8. Thank You Lord for Kerygma for the daily devotionals and also to USCCB for the daily readings and reflections.
9. Thank You Lord for Chips Ahoy!
10. Thank You Lord for Your protection.
